Peruzzi and Golden Boy Entertainment have been in a label squabble of late. Apparently Davido, the label boss of DMW camp without due process claimed the talent of Golden Boy Ent- Peruzzi. The CEO, Patrick Anyaene who also came on twitter to wail and seek redress did mention some revelations that has since sparked a lot of reactions.
He disclosed in a pile of threaded tweets, the injustice and unfairness that was meted out by Davido, especially the fact that he robbed him of his hard work, time and investment which is Peruzzi.
Patrick also went on to reveal that DMW promised a settlement which never saw the light of day as he was mobbed somewhere along the line. As it stands the matter has been taken to court. This he revealed in a twitter post;
Court Day! #SurvivingPeruzzi. God's got me.. May justice prevail!

The Chairman, Davido, aka OBO, has since come out to make statements alleging that the receipts that were brought forward by Golden Boy Entertainment wasn’t sufficient enough to back the claims being made. It was clear Davido couldn’t be bothered as he recently just signed another new artist Ayanfe.
Recurrent legal battles in the music industry sheds light on how artistes and their labels have fared in the past. Some industry players have termed this as a failure of the music practice laws in Nigeria, while others are of the opinion that creatives are rarely ever compliant.
Whatever happens, we hope that due process is followed and everybody gets what they truly deserve, twists or turns we will keep you updated.
