Olamide has just released a huge surprise to the amazement of the whole Soundscape with his latest EP debut- 999.
The well-rounded artist whose career in the music industry spans over a decade-plus, strikes the scene hot, after a music- scarce couple of months.
Away from the noise and chatter that most artists engage in when trying to put out their work, Olamide leans towards a Wizkid kinda stunt- With his Soundman Ep that was released overnight-No prior promotions, no publicity and certainly all the surprise. It is evident that it’s a wild card of trusting that his longevity and value can buy him all the love he needs for this debut.
The Extended Play houses 9-tracks which include; No time, Warlords, Billion Talk, Dance with the Devil, Wonma, Demons, Mojo, Prophesy, Rich+Famous.
Olamide also enlisted the inputs of his longtime collab partner –Phyno, Producers- Pheelz, ID Cabasa, Crackemerllo, Eskeez and some new kids on the block-Snow, Cheque, Rhatti, Milly, Jackmillz, Jayboi, Sosa E.
Teetering his consistency further, the ace rapper continues to push beyond the boundaries of confinement and resorts to moving with the times while retaining his Midas touch on the afro-beat sound.
Designed by Sirduksalot, the Ep artwork depicts Olamide as a fictional gangster and it reflects his stance on the music, his evolution and the audacity to face the industry head-on.
The Ep drops tomorrow and we can’t wait to bop on this one!!!
