Mavin Superstar Korede Bello makes a return to the scene after a one-year break from music. The young chap announced his presence with a new record titled Sun Mo Mi which has been trending since its release.
Following his return, Korede debuts a new look, channeling his inner “Raheem Sterling” to endearing fans and lovers of his signature jerry curls. He appears as the latest star on Accelerate TV’s -The Cover.
In this comeback interview, Korede Bello sits to share what he’s been up to, and what his plans are for the new year. He reveals that the music break was much needed for him to recalibrate and fine tune his craft and skills. He expressed;
“Where have I been? I’ve been around, never left, I’ve been working on my craft, been re-inventing myself, been working on sharpening my skills and figuring out what really matters in this life”
Korede added that things are changing and his sound has changed too. He says; “My sound is my essence, my sound is in my meaning, and its core tenets express joy, hope, and love”. For him, Music Is not a game, I never thought of it as a game. All through the projections and pressure from the industry and his fans, he is focused on being more intentional with his art.
Going further, Korede talks about the industry and its constant move of comparisons, he acknowledges that the industry is all about perception and its influences on how people consume art and music.
Korede concluded saying that he’s out to build a community and serve them with good music, he’s not limiting himself. 2020 is the year for collaborations, as his eyes are set on new cats like Fireboy, Rema, Joeboy, Teni, Crayon. Hence we are expecting some power bangers; our fingers are crossed.
