Time To Shake The World -Olamide Forms Alliance With Empire Records

Rapper Olamide signs with Empire Record Label

Olamide

The indomitable indigenous rapper, Olamide has signed a deal with the American record label, Empire. This music alliance comes after the release of his recent body of work ”999″ which is still very much climbing charts.

The American distribution company and record label is popularly known as Empire and is located in the US. The record label is associated with hip hop music acts like Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, SZA and other top acts in the country.

Olamide Signs With Empire

An elated Olamide took to his Instagram page to announce the new collaboration between his own record label, YBNL, and Empire. He shared a photo of himself signing the contract with the caption “@empire @ybnlmafiafamily JV = time to shake the world”. With this, the rapper becomes the first Nigerian hip hop act to be signed to the record label.

A huge one for the YBNL boss and his crew which consists majorly of Fireboy. There’s just so much that they can achieve and this Joint Venture will draw their music to a much more wider audience.

Very evident, that Olamide waited his turn to scale, the partnership will see new signees and existing ones getting the international audience and plug into the market that is sought after.

Recall a few weeks back, East African band Sauti soul also signed to Universal Music Group, it sure looks like the time has come for Africa and Africans. Congratulations to the YBNL team and all that they will achieve in the coming years.
