Nigerian rapper, Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, better known by his stage name Vector has shared a rather unexpected tweet about the state of his music career.
The songwriter, actor, and philosopher who has an impressive catalog of discography under his belt is reckoned for his selfless show of interest in topical issues. In controlled stead of maintaining a close fan base engagement, the rapper was led on to reveal sarcastically on his rap game.
One of his fans on the volatile social media app-Twitter questioned him as to why he hasn’t been verified on the social media platform while making comparisons to his fellow rapper, Erigga.
The worried fan also asked the rapper if there was anything wrong with his career as it was strange that his account is yet to be verified by Twitter.
“Why is @erigganewmoney verified and @VectorThaViper is not ??? Lanre wetin de Happen to your Career na?”.
Vector responded swiftly saying his career is dying. He wrote “E Dey die. My career don dey die”
Very funny, but some factions and online observers posited that Vector’s reply was a reflection of the truth whilst others merely saw it as a sarcastic attempt at trying to dismiss the conversation.
Anyone who knows Vector would reckon his touches of sarcasm, and the constant wordplay that he dishes on his records and when conversing. Hence this may just be one of those times, or it could also pass as a subtle message with an undertone.
