Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw, shares some motivational think piece for her followers and the general public. She advised fans and followers to worry less about other people’s opinions about them and focus more on their goals and aspirations.
According to her, it is of no use seeking validation from people and waiting on their permission to live your life. The focus should be on one’s journey she added. This is a direct message to Nigerians who rather aim to please and want to hinge their progress on the backs of others.
She asserts that its a matter of necessity to stay rooted on the journey, no comparison whatsoever. The message resonates especially because of this day and age we are in. The digital pressure to keep up and show off. More people are living faux lives and by all means necessary, want to appear a certain way.
The fitness junkie also reiterated that the advice has been over flogged and she’s always emphasized on it. Kate shared it via her social media page stressing the need for everyone to run their individual races in life.
“I have said it on my page quite a few times….stop looking for acceptance when you are to be focused on your journey.. ……….. LISTEN!!! RUN YOUR RACE!!” she wrote.
