According to yet to be confirmed reports, ‘Citation’ based on sexual harassment in the tertiary institution, is one of the Nollywood films set to be acquired by Netflix this year.
Known for going the extra mile with his movie production, award-winning actor and director, Kunle Afolayan has a new movie in the works and it looks like what blockbusters are made of.
The movie, “Citation” was written by Tunde Babalola and will star popular billionaire, Femi Otedola’s daughter, Temi alongside Haitian-born Hollywood actor, Jimmy Jean Louis, legendary actors Sadiq Daba, Ini Edo, Joke Silva. Other noteworthy members of the cast includes Gabriel Afolayan, The Okan twins, Lola Maja among others.
“Citation” is a university drama surrounding a female postgraduate student who has to find a way of dealing with the awkward situation of sexual harassment from a popular male lecturer.
While Afolayan’s 2019 drama ‘Mokalik’ was received with mixed feelings, the movie joined the increasing number of the US streaming platform’s Nollywood content.
