I Don’t Have Coronavirus-TV Host Ik Osakioduwa Debunks Rumors

Shortly after the news of an unidentified celebrity who tested positive for coronavirus broke the internet, the NCDC- Nigeria Centre Disease Control, called the attention of the organizers of the just concluded AMVCA to get in touch with attendees of the event.

While speculations on the name of the celebrity have paraded social media, some online detectives and private investigators have taken it upon themselves to fish out the suspected case. Apparently they found media personality Ik Osakiduwa as the unidentified celebrity.

IK Osakioduwa hosted the show alongside East African TV delight- Amina Abdi Rabar but has come out to debunk the rumors that he contacted the coronavirus and knowingly came in contact with a lot of people.

The media personality made the declaration on his Instagram page announcing the claims and the allegations of contacting coronavirus as false.

“I usually would not address this but the rumors are making the rounds. People passing messages around that I went to the UK and got the coronavirus took it to AMVCA, took it to some clubs. I haven’t been to London for a very long time. I haven’t been to that club… I don’t have coronavirus,” he said.

He added that his family is fine and they are simply observing the self-isolation measure on the directive of the government and everyone should heed also. Concluding that the preventive measures of safekeeping and regular sanitizing and washing of hands to be incorporated by all.

Currently, Nigeria has recorded 40 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus, with a larger record from Lagos.
