As millions of Nigerians continue to actively take heed and speak about the coronavirus pandemic and the shutdown of the country, more celebrities are taking a stance on the fight.
While the likes of Street titan Naira Marley and his cohorts Zlatan decimate the efforts of many who have chipped in to create more awareness, some believe that the government is doing zero for the survival of its people.
To lockdown a country where a good number of its citizenry survives on the daily hustle and the immediacy that moving around affords them. The stark hunger and poor health systems that lay aghast serves as one of the many problems that Nigerians are coming to terms with.
Nigerian Afro-pop artiste, Skiibii has highlighted the obvious deficiency in governance and the administration of its duties, by calling them out on their woes.
The singer rhetorically quips on how the government enforces a lockdown without adequate measures in place to mitigate the damages.
Skiibii took to his Instagram to lament thus;
“Bastards wey say make people stay for house Atleast una suppose make sure say light Dey this period. Abi which kind country be this”
Nigeria is not fully equipped for the impending doom that looms largely, several organizations are still trying to come to terms of shutting down operations, the reality follows that at the very least there should be some sort of provision for social amenities. The lack of infrastructure poses a greater threat to Nigerians than the damning effects of the virus.
