Naira Marley Attacks Snitches, Trolls ‘Beggars Working From Home’

This comes after Nigerians on Twitter dragged him for attending Funke Akindele’s birthday party for her husband, JJC Skillz

Naira Marley has reacted to the snitches online who he believes got him arrested for attending a house party.

The music star was among the celebs who were present at Funke Akindele’s house party on Saturday, April 4, 2020.

In a series of posts shared via his Twitter page on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, the singer slammed the snitches who got him arrested and still wanted him to fight the government on their behalf.

“Snitches on twitter will get you arrested and still want you to fight the government. From now on its just Marlians Only. Let’s all listen to the government and give them our full support,” he tweeted.

“Just to show that I have no problem with anyone that dragged me on Twitter, everybody that dragged me should send their account and I will check ur page to check if u dragged me before today before I send your money. All love Red heart Thanks.

As expected Nigerians took to the comment section under his tweet, dropping account numbers with the hope of getting cash giveaways, prompting Naira Marley to troll them.

He wrote: God please don’t let me drag my potential helper. Look at them sending their account details now, beggars working from home. Omo ase olon duro de giveaway.

He didn’t stop there, as he added this: Mofi iyalaya won catch cruise looooool now they thinking how to drag me back looooooooooooooool didirin people I said drop ur account if u’ve dragged me before and they actually dropped it.I love twitter too much, even if u drag me and u say something funny I will laugh with you.

Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley was among the guests at the 42nd birthday party organized weekend by actress Funke Akindele-Bello for her husband Abdul Rasheed Bello at their residence in disregard of the lockdown directive ordered by the government to stop further spread of COVID-19.

Recall that Funke Akindele, aka Jenifa, on Saturday, organized a birthday party with her husband. The party saw the likes of Naira Marley and other popular celebrities in attendance including Gbadamosi ADP gubernatorial candidate. Nigerians who were outraged dragged the couple in a twitter frenzy on Sunday and raised the concerns a notch higher.

For violating the government’s order, police swung into action and arrested Funke and her husband. Both were arraigned in court. Funke and her husband pleaded guilty to hosting the party despite the coronavirus lockdown. They were sentenced to 14 days of community service and fined N100,000 each by a magistrate court in Ogba, Lagos.

Meanwhile, several celebrities are blowing hot on the manner in which the situation was managed as things have escalated since the arrest, including Burna Boy and comedian AY, who later apologized.
