Shock as Davido reveals what COVID-19 lockdown stopped him from doing on Chioma’s birthday

The music star revealed Chioma is the greatest source of his happiness.


Nigerian Afro-pop artiste and DMW label boss, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido celebrates his fiancée, Chioma Avril Rowland, who marked her 25th birthday on Friday.

The singer said he and the ’30 BG’ crew would have turned the Lagos upside down before painting it red were it not for the COVID-19 lockdown in the city.

CANDIIDONLINE reports that the lovebirds, who became a romantic sensation since the news of their relationship broke out in 2018, have gained a place as one of Nigeria’s favorite celebrity couple.

Recently the couple welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named David Ifeanyi Adeleke Jnr. Since then the couple has had backlashes but are still very resilient in their love and overcoming the curse of media. A few days ago Davido also revealed that Chioma recovered from the COVID-19 scare and was negative after having tested positive, read here.

Today an excited Davido took to his Instagram page to share adulations and showers love on Chioma his future Mrs. He wrote;

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE STRONGEST WOMAN I KNOW !!! @thechefchi !!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ !!!

“Ohhhh Man if we weren’t on lockdown you already know we for turn the city upside down!! !!!!

“My dear wife, may your birthday be as happy as you have made me. AND THAT’S ON GANG! #1 CRO 💪🏿”

Despite loud whispers of the stamina of the relationship, Davido has signaled in the affirmative that his love for Chioma was a case of ‘ride or die’

This was made evident when Davido shocked the industry to a proposal late last year.

The singer sealed off speculations and naysayers by proposing to Chioma and announced that their marriage will take full effect in 2020, with pictures of a formal introduction with Chioma’s family.
