To commemorate his first birthday on Wednesday, Prince Harry and Meghan shared a never-before-seen video of the baby boy — and he’s looking more like his father every day.
In the video, posted by the charitable organization Save With Stories, Markle holds her son on her lap as they flip through a children’s book.
“Read by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex (with Harry, The Duke of Sussex behind the camera) to their son Archie for his 1st Birthday,” the Instagram caption reads. “Happy Birthday, Archie!”
Archie is Harry and Meghan’s son who is seventh in line to the throne. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are celebrating their son, Archie’s first birthday, and his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth is sending her best wishes.

Meghan has been filmed reading Archie a story as part of a charity video released to mark his first birthday today. Meghan chose to read Duck! Rabbit!, one of Archie's favourite books, in the video which was filmed by Prince Harry. The video is a contribution to Save The Children's 'Save With Stories' campaign, which is helping support vulnerable children around the world during the COVID-19 pandemic with early learning packs, supermarket vouchers and virus protection.
In a tweet posted on the official Twitter handle of the British royal family, the Queen celebrated her great-grandson with a cute photo and message to mark his first birthday.
“Happy Birthday to Archie Mountbatten-Windsor who is celebrating his 1st birthday today! Balloon. Archie is The Queen’s eighth great-grandchild,” the tweet read.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married in 2018 at a star-studded wedding held in England. They welcomed their first child, Archie back in 2019.
The video marks the first time Archie has been pictured since New Year’s Eve 2019 when Harry and Meghan shared a photo of their son in his dad’s arms, wearing a bobble hat, in front of a lake in Canada, where they spent the festive period.
The couple announced they would step back from their roles as senior working royals back in January and undertook their last engagements in March before relocating to the States.
Daily Mail says Harry and Meghan plan to treat Archie to an ‘organic, sugar-free cake’, a splash around in their pool, and a video call with the Cambridge children as part of his birthday celebrations.
