Fans celebrate Afro-pop star Davido on his 10th year in the music industry

Davido marks a decade of active contribution to the entertainment industry.


Nigerian Afro-pop superstar David Adedeji Adeleke who is better known as Davido marks 10 years in music and his fans have also taken to social media to celebrate his achievements and milestones he’s garnered over the years.

David was born in Atlanta, US, and raised in Lagos; he made his music debut as a member of the music group KB International. He studied business administration at Oakwood University before dropping out to make beats and record vocal references.

The father of three rose to fame after releasing “Dami Duro”, the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo (2012), from which six additional singles—”Back When”, “Ekuro”, “Overseas”, “All of You”, “Gbon Gbon”, and “Feel Alright”—were taken.

The DMW boss who started his career back in 2010 is currently one of the biggest names in the Nigerian music scene alongside Wizkid, Burna Boy, and other music stars.

Davido founded the record label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) a few months after signing with Sony. Dremo, Mayorkun, Yonda, and Peruzzi are currently signed to the label. In July 2016, Davido signed a record deal with RCA Records

Davido released his second studio album A Good Time in November 2019 which was accompanied by It was supported by the previously released singles “If”, “Fall”, “Assurance”, “Blow My Mind” and “Risky”.

Davido’s camp came together trending him on social media to celebrate the singer’s journey so far. Some amazed at how much he’s achieved since his sojourn whilst others flood the internet with accolades of his character and persona.
