Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has made a revelation about his colleague, Nonso Diobi.
This time, he recounted how Nonso sheltered him and many upcoming actors back then in Lagos. Responding to a tweet of a fan celebrating Nonso Diobi and his benevolent nature, Yul stated that his co-actor has been instrumental to the coming up of so many talents in the film and movie industry.
“Nonso Diobi housed many upcoming actors than in Lagos, including me. He would never complain. Always ready to assist & encourage.
“I’ll never stop celebrating him cos good people are hard to find. Great Soul. Ezigbo mmadu.” he wrote replying to the tweet celebrating Nonso one of the top 20 Nollywood actors of all time.
Sometime last year, Yul Edochie also revealed that his relationship with Nonso Diobi started off on set in 2005/2006 when he came to Lagos to hustle’. Yul had written:
“In 2005/2006, I came to Lagos to hustle for movie roles. I met Nonso Diobi on a set, he was already a star then. We clicked. He said to me ‘come and stay at my house, it’s closer to our location than your brother’s house, you’ll be going to work with me, from there you’ll get to meet more big wigs in the game.
“This wonderful soul gave me a roof over my head in Lagos, he never complained over anything, fed me, and was always willing to assist me in anything. Nonny, I never forget oo. Thank you, bro! I wish you a very happy birthday and may God grant you all your heart desires. Ezigbo mmadu!”

According to the actor, when he was in secondary school, he had plans to drop out to become a trader and it didn’t sit well with his father.
