“Ireti”, a short film on domestic violence [WATCH]


Nigerian movie director, Ayomikun Paseda’s teams up with fresh faces to deliver a 7-minute short film, “Ireti” currently streaming on YouTube.

The movie which portrays a precise tale of domestic violence takes its audience on a journey of abuse and hope.

The clip was co-directed by Paseda and Ama Psalmist and its endearing cinematography is by Barnabas “Barny” Emordi”Ireti”  through the eyes of the lead characters explores the themes of domestic violence, abuse, and emotional blackmail. It also depicts that love which involves violence is cruel and defying.

Set in a modern-day scenery, the plot focuses on a couple in the heat of resolving a conflict that rapidly leads to violence. The cast includes actors, Yinka Moor (Ireti) and Abdul TJ (Jacobs)  who brought home the forces the story with resonance.
