Burna Boy’s assisted single with Jorja Smith certified platinum in France

African Giant Burna Boy’s 2019 feature single ‘Be Honest’ with a British singer, Jorja Smith has been certified platinum in France.

The announcement was made via the Twitter account of Chart Data Nigeria, following the news, Burna Boy confirmed it.

According to Chart Data, the track (‘Be Honest’ has now been awarded a platinum certification for selling more 200,000 units in France.

Their first collaboration was ‘Gum Body,’ which was released on African Giant.

In France, according to the National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP), for a track to be certified Platinum, it must have sold 200,000 units.

Burna Boy now joins Wizkid as the only Nigerian artiste to have a song certified platinum or higher in France as “Bella” by MHD featuring Wizkid earlier this year had been certified Platinum in France.

CANDIIDONLINE recalls that a few days ago, Davido’s smash hit single, “Fall” was certified Gold in the USA, making him the first Nigerian artiste to achieve the feat.
