British singer and rapper Stefflon Don is celebrating her superstar boyfriend Burna Boy as he clocks 29 today.
The rapper took to her Instagram page to share an adorable picture of them locking lips with this message:
“Love your a$$ forever and a day, My sweetie pie cakes. Guys, go wish @burnaboygram a Happy Birthday!!!!! #MyHeart”
Asides being an adorable couple and steering social media’s interest in their love life, the pair has demonstrated several public displays of affection that continue to endear them to fans.
Recently celebrating their anniversary, Steff took to her Instagram stories on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, where she shared a video of Burna Boy and herself kissing. She went on to caption the video with a reminder that they have been together for a year.”Today marks one year exactly! Cheers to 100 more my sweetie cakes,” she wrote.
It was followed by a series of interviews and photos as these two made every one not only admire their relationship.
She shared her obsession over Burnaboy saying “I love everything about him, his toes… everything, every time,” the British vocalist said while gesturing with her hands up-down in the description of Burna Boy’s physique.
When further prodded to spew more details about their relationship, Stefflon launched herself into a bout of singing ‘Killin Dem’, a track off Burna Boy critically acclaimed ‘African Giant ‘album.
Following the outpour of love, Burnaboy in another scene revealed plans with Steff in an interview with Ebro on his show ‘Beats1′ on Hot 97 FM in the United States of America.
The On-Air personality wanted the African Giant to clarify his relationship status with Stefflon Don and an exciting Burn responded;”On a more serious note, that’s my wifey. If you wanted a wifey, she’s like the most perfect person with that perfect description. Unfortunately, she’s mine now…” he said.
Born Stephanie Victoria Allen (born 14 December 1991), known professionally as Stefflon Don, she rose to fame after her 2017 single “Hurtin’ Me” featuring French Montana peaked at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart.
In 2016, she released her debut mixtape Real Ting, followed by another mixtape, Secure, in 2018.
Allen was born in Birmingham, West Midlands. She is of Jamaican descent. She has six siblings. When she was five years old, her family moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, (hence Allen speaks fluent Dutch.
She has been singing and writing music since primary school. At the age of 9, she recorded a “Hard Knock Life” hook for a rapper called Unique. The song was never released, but she was surprised to hear her voice on the playback.
She worked as a cake decorator and a hairdresser before her career in music.
Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu Rex (born 2 July 1991), known professionally as Burna Boy rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E (2013).Damini Ogulu was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. His father managed a welding company and his mother worked as a translator. His grandfather Benson Idonije once managed Fela Kuti.
His mother Bose Ogulu would later become his manager. Ogulu grew up in southern Nigeria and began making his own beats using FruityLoops. He attended the Corona Secondary School in Agbara and relocated to London to further his studies.
In 2017, Burna Boy signed with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music Group internationally. His third studio album Outside marked his major-label debut.
CANDIID ONLINE recalls that Burna won Best International Act at the 2019 BET Awards and in this year’s category. His fourth studio album African Giant was released in July 2019; it won Album of the Year at the 2019 All Africa Music Awards and was nominated for Best World Music Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.
