Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Ini Edo has taken to social media to officially announce and celebrate her reappointment as the Special Assistant (SA) on Tourism Development with Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel.
The actress shared the news of her reappointment on Instagram with photos of her in a gorgeous suite, thanking her boss, the governor.
Grateful to God and my Boss, His excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel for the reappointment to serve in the tourism sector of our dear State as SA,” Ini Edo wrote.
I look forward to great accomplishments and milestones in this new era. God bless Gov Udom Emmanuel. God bless the Great State of AkwaAbasibomGod bless all my brown sugar family for your constant love and support. Everything good thing will come to those who trust in the name of the Lord,” Ini Edo wrote.
In another show of appreciation and encouragement towards her fans, Ini wrote;
“I am overwhelmed by the show of love and appreciation which came from all of you. As you all celebrate with me, I pray that you will be celebrated in every area of your life.
Indeed, it is about time we the youths of this country gets included in the running of our dear country, especially as women… Despite all the odds against us, we won’t give up the good fight.

Iniobong Edo is an Ibibio from Akwa Ibom State in the south-south part of Nigeria, not far from Calabar.
Her mother was a teacher, and her father a church elder. She had a strict upbringing, the second of four children, three girls, one boy.
She attended Cornelius Connely College in Uyo. She graduated from the University of Uyo where she got a Diploma in Theatre Arts.
Ini also completed her bachelor’s degree program at the University of Calabar where she studied English.
She began her film career in 2000 and has featured in different genres of movies since her debut.
In 2013, she was a judge for the Miss Black Africa UK Pageant. Ini’s breakthrough came in 2004 when she acted in a World Apart.
She has appeared in over 100 films and is reckoned as one of the most successful actresses in Nigeria.
In 2014 she got a scholarship to study law at National Open University of Nigeria.
One of Ini Edo’s latest movies is “Citation” written by Tunde Babalola and Directed by Kunle Afolayam
“Citation” is a university drama surrounding a female postgraduate student who has to find a way of dealing with the awkward situation of sexual harassment from a popular male lecturer.
