It is indeed a trying period for the family members of former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Khafi Kareem.
Khafi with her siblings and mother finally said the last goodbye to the youngest member of their family, Alexander Kareem.
Khafi lost her younger brother after assassins shot him dead on a street in West London on June 8.
During the funeral service which took place on Thursday, July 29, the bubbly young lady rendered a touching tribute in honour of her deceased younger brother, The Sun reports.
Khafi’s emotionally charged tribute left many sympathizers in tears. The ex-Pepper Dem housemate said she would taken the bullet for her sibling if the chance to do so arose.
Khafi said she won’t categorized the death of her sibling as the death of another black boy.
“To anybody who’s seen this (in the news) and thinks this is just another black boy who’s been shot, I want to tell you that is not the case,” the 30-year-old said.
The aggrieved sister added that the late Alexander had a bright future ahead of him and his life mattered.
The funeral took place at the Church of the Holy Ghost and St Stephen in Shepherd’s Bush. Photos captured heartbreaking family members as they mourned late Alexander.
One of the saddest image captured late Alexander’s mother, Victoria Oloniluyi, clutching and hugging his coffin as undertakers lowered it to the ground.
