Popular Ghanian singer, Shatta Wale, has reacted to a now-viral video that captured Metro TV presenter, Jackie discussing his collaboration with America singer Beyonce.
To clarify, the clip displayed Jackie and her co-host analyzing Beyonce’s choice of African artistes for her album.
They referred to Wale saying “but she didn’t even choose well”.
From their comments in the video, it showed that they had the conversation on TV station months back when Beyonce dropped the Lion King; The Gift album with Shatta Wale featuring on ‘Already’, because they added Beyonce isn’t interested in having Shatta Wale in a video.
However, Shatta Wale reacted to their comments after the release of the ‘Already’ music video.
He wrote: “See fools in Ghana. No wonder our media don’t go anywhere. They’re always talking with so much pride of foolishness.”
Taking a swipe at Jackie, he continued that “A woman like you can say sh*t about your own fellow woman. I blame your makeup foolish girl! Illiterate”.
Recall that Beyoncé released her highly-anticipated visual album, Black Is King, last week.
The project embodied some of the collaborative tracks from her 2019 Lion King: The Gift album, which the star artist described as her “love letter to Africa” upon its release.
Arguably one of the best songs on the album was “Already” featuring Ghanaian artiste Shatta Wale and Major Lazer. The official music video, which dropped garnered huge acceptance.
The video emphasizes vibrant dance and choreography, featuring dancers like Nigeria’s Papi Ojo.
The video features Beyoncé in a number of incredibly striking looks. The looks include stunning shorts and blazer combo which Ivorian-American designer, Loza Maléombho, made.
Shatta Wale shared his enthusiasm for the project on Twitter. He wrote, “Thank you, My Queen, for believing in my talent and giving me a platform to share my good message to the world…. God will forever bless you.”
