Falz Blasts Diezani For Saying Yahoo Boys Are Now Role Models In Nigeria

Nigerian rapper Falz has smashed former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke for saying internet scammers are now the role models of Nigerians.

CANDIID ONLINE recalls that at a virtual event, Diezani stated that;

“The ones that have swag, the Yahoo Yahoo boys as my son would say; these, in short, are the role models they are looking at. These are the ones that reinforce negative societal norms and values.”

Reacting to her statement, it reminded Nigerians about her alleged financial fraud during her tenure as a Minister under ex-President Goodluck’s regime.

Nigerians felt that she had no right to criticize internet fraudsters.

Falz who couldn’t bear with her statement has also weighed in. Sharing a photo of the former Minister, he wrote;

“You are on the run but your mouth still dey run. Who be Yahoo Yahoo girl if no be you?”

This is not the first time, Falz is vocal about issues as we have seen him countless times, intervene in topical conversations.

In a usual stead, months back he joined other Nigerian celebrities in clamoring for Justice over the murder of a Uniben student Uwa Omozuwa.

In his words;

“It’s so exhausting to see injustice continue to thrive time after time. Every time we say NOT AGAIN, and then there is a new story. Enough is enough.”

“It’s too disheartening. Justice must be served for the innocent souls, we keep on losing. #JusticeForTina #JusticeForUwa”

“It is important that we are fearless, and we are ready to challenge the government through peaceful protests.

“It’s not enough to sit in our houses and post on socials. Justice must be served #JusticeForUwa #JusticeForTina.”
