Popular skit-making trio, Ikorodu Bois are currently trending in the country, following their acceptance of multi milllionaira equipment from US streaming platform, Netflix.
The boys usually create innovative skits and produce the remake of movies and trailers.
Ace film director, Kunle Afolayan presented the equipment to them.
He expressed hope that the gifts will make their future productions easier.
In addition to the equipment from Netflix, Kunle Afolayan awarded Ikorodu Bois a scholarship at his film production company and television academy. He also offered to directly mentor them in filmmaking.
Reacting, the Sanni brothers popularly known as Ikorodu Bois also shared a video on Twitter with the caption, “Guyssss!! @NetflixFilm sent us these presents omg! thank you guys @NetflixFilm”.
It would be recalled that some months back the trio consisting of Muiz, 15, and Malik,10, and their cousin, Fawas Aina, 13, received an invitation by the Russo Brothers to the global premiere of their upcoming sequel, ‘Extraction 2’.
The three young boys play the roles in the videos. Above all, their eldest brother Babatunde Sanni edits the videos and manages them.
They dubbed their name from the city of Ikorodu in Lagos, Nigeria where they live.
The group began in 2017 when Babatunde Sanni decided to share their skills to the world via social media.
In an interview with CNN, Sanni said “I felt like ‘these things we are doing in our house — why don’t we start putting them online?”.
“Our house is like a comedy house — we play too much,” Babatunde Sanni told CNN.
The group makes use of household items to depict top gears used in movies. They also use the local wheelbarrow to replicate luxury cars, an idea which was first exhibited by Kaptain Kush.
