Nigerian veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has stirred loads of reaction on the Nigerian social media space.
The movie star just announced that he has officially received the license to practice law in Nigeria.
Kanayo O. Kanayo made this known via his Instagram page on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.
To clarify, he shared a photo of himself wearing the traditional robe and wig.
“To God be all the Glory. You can now address me as Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, Esq, MFR (Barrister And Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria),” he further captioned the photo.
The movie veteran, therefore, joins the growing list of celebrities who are lawyers.
Born Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, the movie star, however, made his debut movie appearance in the Nollywood classic, Living in Bondage.
He has also gone on to feature in over a hundred movies in his career of nearly 3 decades.
Kanayo O. Kanayo is currently a United Nations ambassador. In addition, he bears the title of MFR the Nigerian government awarded him in 2014.
Kanayo O. Kanayo along with Kenneth Nnebue (producer of Living in Bondage), Olu Jacobs, Enoch Adeboye, Queen Elizabeth, and Fela Kuti were among Nigerians honored by the government in 2014 during the centenary celebration.
Anayo Modestus Onyekwere (popularly known as Kanayo O. Kanayo, born March 1, 1962, in Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria) is a Nigerian actor.
In 2006 he won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
In 1992, Kanayo made his debut movie appearance in the film Living in Bondage. Kanayo has starred in over 100 films.
His most recent movies are Up north and Living in Bondage: Breaking Free.
