The Ogun state police command have found a missing 14-year-old girl, Fathia Ojewoye, reportedly raped and murdered.
According to reports, the girl’s parents sent her to refill a cooking gas cylinder on the fateful day.
Fathia Ojewoye returned home, dropped the cylinder and left the house, never to return.
CANDIIDONLINE gathered that neighbors last saw the teen in Agbeloba, Oriyanrin, in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
However, the police declared her missing on Wednesday, September 16.
Unfortunately, they found her body on the evening of Friday, September 18 in an uncompleted building.
The building is around Agbeloba, Oriyanrin in Abeokuta, some meters away from where she lived with her mother.
According to Bola Odetayo who gave the update on Twitter, the abductors sexually assaulted her before they left her dead.
“Men of the @PoliceNG Adigbe Division evacuated the corpse, I suppose and worse still, the grieving parents had to bear the cost of depositing the body at the morgue”
“They (abductors) murdered 14 year old Fathia Ifeoluwa Ojewoye in cold blood. The police declared her missing on Wednesday 16th September, 2020.
She had gone on an errand to refill a cooking gas cylinder at a nearby outlet, only returned to drop the refilled cylinder and followed one of the assailants
“They found her body around 5pm yesterday, in an uncompleted building around Oriyanrin, Agbeloba, Abeokuta.
“The gory sight of the crime scene tells another tale of evil men callously murdering vulnerable girls after molesting them sexually. Another black September!” he wrote.
Meanwhile, the Child Protection Network, an NGO, is seeking detailed investigation into the reported rape and murder of the teen girl.
