Youths have raised N4,119,570.00 to buy a prosthetic leg for a lady who joined the #EndSARS protest in Abuja, Jane Obiene.
As of 1.15pm on Sunday, the donation page showed that 727 people had contributed.
Information on the page showed that the target was to raise N1,500,000 in 30 days but that was surpassed within three hours.
A Twitter user, Aproko Doctor @aproko_doctor, had shared the image of Obiene, asking Nigerians to donate through a link.
The image showed Obiene marching with hundreds of protesters bearing crutches.
He explained that Jane had been unemployed since 2013 over her disabiIity among other reasons.
“This is Jane. She’s been unemployed since 2013 partly because of her disability, she came out in the #EndSARS protests and we need to help.
“Please click the link beIow to donate to this, if you can’t donate, please RT, someone might see it on your TL.”
Jane, a physically challenged Nigerian lady is currently feeling the warmth and kindness of Nigerians as she is now only a few thousand naira away from changing her life for the better.
Despite living with just a limb, this did not deter her from joining the ongoing anti-SARS protest. A photo of Jane at the protest walk surfaced online, leaving many people in awe and some, inspired.
