Nigerian superstar singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu a.k.a. Burna Boy has outlined the importance of the #EndSARS protest and what it means to the Nigerian youths.
Speaking in an interview on Sky News, Burna Boy stated it might be over for Nigerian youths if the aim of the #EndSARS protest is not accomplished.
The singer who further stressed that the protest is not politically motivated, stated that it is centered on police brutality even though there are other issues in the country which should have ignited it a long time ago.
Burna also alleged that the politicians tried infiltrating the protest with hoodlums to make it look like it was violent.
He also earlier disclosed being traumatized since the shooting at the Lekki Toll Gate.
His post reads:
”I HAVEN’T SLEPT SINCE 20/10/2020. I CLOSE MY EYES AND ALL I SEE IS LEKKI TOLL GATE. I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF VIOLENCE AND DEATH IN MY LIFE BUT THIS IS THE ONE THAT HAS TRAUMATIZED ME”.
According to him, he has become restless and finds it difficult to sleep since the killing of innocent protesters started.
He added that, he only sees the blood of the protesters and how they were being shot, keeps bothering him, hence, has not been able to sleep since the 20th of October.
Fans upon seeing his post on his Twitter page reacted to his comments.
Some agreed with his words, and urged him to calm down, whereas others mocked him for not believing his statements.
